Performing Arts

Customer design, sculpture applied to the stage design

More and more shows, more and more artists... but also more and more precariousness. To break into music, dance, and live performance, you need talent, tenacity and excellence.

Performing arts professionals put their creativity at the service of artistic representation. Theater, dance, music but also visual arts… each mode of expression has its own specificities. With one constant in these professions: the importance of teamwork.

Actors, managers, teamwork

Whoever thinks of spectacle often thinks of performing artists. Singer, actor, musician, dancer take center stage, are in direct contact with the audience.

But the live show is also all the technicians who work before, during or after the performances to ensure that the light, music and sets are perfect and meet the requirements of the director or choreographer.

Behind the scenes, we find the lighting designer, the set designer, the decorator, the costume designer, the managers (lighting, sound or show), but also the stagehands and workers (painter, carpenter, electrician.).

Without forgetting the managers who put together the budgets (producer of shows or music), look for a performance venue and an audience (broadcaster, tour manager, organizer of festivals and cultural events) or administer a theater and/or concert hall . A show is the result of teamwork on stage and behind the scenes.

In the kingdom of intermittent entertainment workers

The live show?

Link, the decentralized structures in the regions, subsidized by the State and local authorities. Alongside which, there is a strong private offer (private theaters, concert halls, festivals, etc.).

With shows produced each year, the sector has never had as many active artists as in recent years. Nearly a third of cultural professionals were in the entertainment and audiovisual divided into artistic programming or show production executives, entertainment and audiovisual artists and technicians.

The development of your own brands and products around different sports. From industrial design to graphics and styling, designers work to improve existing products and imagine those of tomorrow.

Design is at the heart of the creative process. The brand designs products for the practice of many sports. Maintaining visual consistency between all products is the main mission of the design manager. It also ensures the identity of the brand and thus contributes to its notoriety.

A dozen professionals (product or graphic designers, mechanical design or testing engineers, etc.) design together. At their head, the design leader validates the major stages of development of future products and ensures that the production rate is respected.

The product manager identifies with her teams the needs and functionalities of each product. Together, they record these elements in specifications, which the design teams will use to develop the new models.

The product designer makes sketches of his models before running them on the computer. A virtual reality tool allows it to visualize the future product in volume and make adjustments (changing the size of a wheel, for example) before the prototyping phase.

If the product designer thinks about the lines of the model, its style or its colors, he must take into account the technical constraints indicated to him by the product engineer (the placement of a battery, for example), compliance with the standards of safety, cost requirements and completion times.

Once the design and technical performance of the models have been decided, the graphic designer takes over. He makes several visual proposals, respecting the charter (logos, typography, colors specific to the brand), in order to maintain a certain consistency in store.
